For twenty years I've talked with senior professionals and leaders about their careers. As an executive search specialist, I see up close how much depends on the fit between someone's qualities, motivations and values and the environment they work in. I also know from my own experience at board level how easily the urgency of the organisation can crowd out room for personal reflection.
My background as a top-level tennis player gave me focus and perseverance. But persevering successfully doesn't automatically mean you're heading for the right goal. In coaching I ask sharp questions and make room for reflection, so you can choose deliberately which next phase truly suits you.
The programme starts with your question and is tailored to it. We look not only at the role or the organisation, but also at the wider context of your life and leadership. The first two phases form the foundation we work from. After that, if it fits your choice, you can add guidance with a career move or with starting a new role.
We explore the question you come with and also look for the question beneath it. Which choices and experiences brought you here? What gives you energy, what takes a lot out of you, and what do you no longer want to keep doing as a matter of course?
We look at five connected areas: you as a person, your health, your work, your social environment and your living situation. This shows what you want to keep and where there is tension or room. We also look at beliefs and assumptions that influence what you consider possible.
You come away with a sharper picture of your starting point, your motivations and the question that guides what comes next.
We explore how you want to work and contribute in the coming years. What kind of leadership do you want to show? Which issues do you want to help solve? What responsibility and influence suit you? In which organisational dynamic do you thrive? And what do pace, culture, people and room for development mean to you?
Together we explore several possibilities. That might be deepening or reshaping your current role, a new leadership position, or a different path that fits your experience and ambitions. We weigh these options by what matters to you, not just by status or the logical next step on paper.
The result is a personal course for your next phase, with criteria to assess opportunities and a story that makes clear what you stand for and what you want to contribute.
If you decide that a move is right for you, I help you translate that choice well to the outside world. We sharpen your positioning and story, decide how to use relevant conversations and your network, and prepare you for selection procedures and interviews. If you stay in your current role or organisation, we can instead work on the concrete changes you want to make there.
A new role brings new expectations, relationships and opportunities. In the first period we can keep looking together at your assignment, your impact and what you need to land well. That way you keep your course in view while you shape your place in the new environment and get to know your stakeholders.
Phases 1 and 2 form the foundation of the coaching. The difference between the two packages lies mainly in the time and depth we take to explore your question. Application support and support with a new start (onboarding) are add-ons and can be combined.

The three extra sessions give room to look further, examine patterns and assumptions, and compare options side by side. Support with up to 4 application processes, covering the full range of positioning, preparation and debriefing of interviews. Also advice on your position in the process and on communication with the agencies and/or clients involved. This means you go through a process well prepared, sharp and in line with the insights you've gained.
Support as you start in a new job and environment, tailored to your assignment, the new environment and what you need to land well. It helps you hold on to the course that came out of the coaching, while staying grounded and keeping your personal and business agenda sharp.
Packages can be combined and are completed within 18 months. Additional sessions can be added by agreement and are invoiced separately. We start with an introductory conversation about your question and decide together which support fits.

Als executive search specialist zie ik van dichtbij hoe bepalend de aansluiting is tussen iemands kwaliteiten, drijfveren, waarden en de omgeving waarin diegene werkt. We onderzoeken de vraag waarmee je komt en zoeken ook naar de vraag eronder. Welke keuzes en ervaringen hebben je hier gebracht? Waar krijg je energie van, wat vraagt veel van je en wat wil je niet meer vanzelfsprekend blijven doen?
We bekijken vijf samenhangende gebieden: jij als persoon, je gezondheid, je werk, je sociale omgeving en je woonsituatie. Zo ontstaat zicht op wat je wilt behouden en waar spanning of ruimte zit. We staan ook stil bij overtuigingen en aannames die invloed hebben op wat je voor mogelijk houdt.
Je krijgt een scherper beeld van je vertrekpunt, je drijfveren en de vraag die richting geeft aan het vervolg.
We verkennen hoe je de komende jaren wilt werken en bijdragen. Wat voor leiderschap wil je laten zien? Welke vraagstukken wil je helpen oplossen? Welke verantwoordelijkheid en invloed passen bij je? In welke organisatie dynamiek kom jij het best tot recht? En wat betekent tempo, cultuur, mensen en ruimte voor ontwikkeling voor jou?
Samen onderzoeken we meerdere mogelijkheden. Dat kan een verdieping of andere invulling van je huidige rol zijn, een nieuwe leiderschapspositie of een ander pad dat past bij jouw ervaring en ambities. We wegen die opties aan de hand van wat voor jou belangrijk is, niet alleen aan de hand van status of de logische volgende stap op papier.
De opbrengst is een persoonlijke koers voor je volgende fase, met criteria om kansen te beoordelen en een verhaal dat helder maakt waar jij voor staat en wat je wilt bijdragen.
Als je besluit dat een overstap bij je past, help ik je die keuze goed te vertalen naar de buitenwereld. We scherpen je positionering en verhaal aan, bepalen hoe je relevante gesprekken en je netwerk inzet en bereiden je voor op procedures en gesprekken. Als je in je huidige rol of organisatie blijft, kunnen we in plaats daarvan werken aan concrete veranderingen die je daar wilt realiseren.
Een nieuwe rol brengt nieuwe verwachtingen, verhoudingen en kansen met zich mee. In de eerste periode kunnen we samen blijven kijken naar je opdracht, je impact en wat je nodig hebt om stevig te landen. Zo houd je je koers in beeld, terwijl je je plek in de nieuwe omgeving vormgeeft en je stakeholders goed in beeld krijgt.
Fase 1 en 2 vormen de basis van de coaching. Het verschil in de twee pakketten zit vooral in de tijd en diepte waarmee we jouw vraag onderzoeken. Sollicitatiebegeleiding en ondersteuning bij een nieuwe start, onboarding, zijn aanvullend en kunnen worden gecombineerd.
Voor leiders met een gerichte vraag die hun koers en uitgangspunten voor de komende jaren helder willen krijgen.
Voor een grotere of meer gelaagde vraag, wanneer je meer tijd wilt nemen om te onderzoeken wat er achter je eerste vraag ligt. De drie extra sessies geven ruimte om verder te kijken, patronen en aannames te onderzoeken en verschillen mogelijk naast elkaar te leggen. Zo ontstaat niet alleen een volgende stap, maar meer vertrouwen in de koers die je kiest.
Begeleiding bij maximaal 4 sollicitatieprocedures. Dit gaat vanuit de volledige breedte van positionering, voorbereiding en nabespreking van de gesprekken. Ook advies over je positie in het proces en de communicatie met betrokken bureaus en/of opdrachtgevers. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je goed voorbereid, scherp en in aansluiting met je verkregen inzichten door een proces gaat.
Begeleiding bij de start in een nieuwe baan en omgeving. De begeleiding wordt afgestemd op jouw opdracht, de nieuwe omgeving en wat je nodig hebt om goed te landen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je de koers, zoals deze naar voren is gekomen vanuit de coaching, vasthoudt. Tegelijkertijd zorgt het ervoor dat je stevig staat en je persoonlijke en zakelijke agenda scherp houdt.
Pakketten zijn te combineren en worden binnen 18 maanden afgerond. Aanvullende sessies kunnen we in overleg toevoegen en worden apart gefactureerd. We beginnen met een kennismaking over jouw vraag en bekijken samen welke begeleiding passend is.
